The Special Brake System Of New Energy Vehicles Comparing With Traditional Fuel Vehicles

In recent years, the number of brake accidents of new energy vehicles has increased. With the increasing number of new energy vehicles, and the rapid development of intelligent driving technology, automotive braking system functions are particularly important. The traditional fuel vehicle brake system is mainly composed of brake pedal, brake master cylinder, brake vacuum booster, ABS pump, brake wheel cylinder and brake pad. New energy electric vehicles are basically composed of the above components, but there is an electric brake vacuum pump and vacuum tank than traditional fuel vehicles.

Electric Brake Vacuum Pump

The brake vacuum booster of traditional fuel vehicles requires an air intake manifold to provide a vacuum environment, but new energy electric vehicles have no engine and there is no way to provide a vacuum environment. Therefore, you need to install a vacuum pump to draw vacuum, but the vacuum pump cannot directly connect to the brake vacuum booster, because when you step on the brakes, the brake vacuum pump cannot immediately create a vacuum degree to meet the requirements of the brake vacuum booster. Therefore, a vacuum tank is needed to store the vacuum.

In order to ensure that the braking servo device can assist the driver during the braking process, it is necessary to be equipped with sufficient vacuum sources. The engine generates the necessary vacuum through a mechanical vacuum pump. Because the vacuum supply is still required at the stage of the engine's stop, the vacuum system is enhanced through the electric vacuum pump. When the vacuum value in the vacuum system drops below the scheduled threshold, the electric vacuum pump is enabled. Vacuum data records the brake vacuum sensor in the brake servo device.
